Why NuMali?
Traveling to Mali, Africa in 2011 and meeting the wonderful people of Mali, provided a tremendous insight into another culture. I was able to learn about their culture and the tremendous simplicity and joy of their daily lives, yet also understand their basic need for clean water and an infrastructure system. I think providing a resource for clean water and educating them on the efficient uses of water and infrastructure systems would hopefully allow the Malian people to live healthier lives and to prosper, but not change the core of who they are. Doing this work takes many talented and diverse individuals working together with one common goal and NuMali provides the conduit to make this happen.
